As far back as when I was 6 years old, I remember a feeling that I would get when I would visit my reading tutor every week. At some point during the lesson, I would get this energetic blissful feeling all over my body. A name that maybe helpful to describe the feeling is “the chills”. I would tap into this bliss and allow it to run through my body as long as I could. I learned that this feeling would come at times, and if I paid attention to it, it would last longer.

I feel blessed to have learned that happiness comes from inside at a young age.

Now in life, my curiosity about this part of our human nature has developed into a daily mediation practice and attempt to be mindful through the day. Being a parent with young kids (3 and 5 when I started this project) my heart and spirit have guided me to search for activities that will help our children learn where true happiness comes from and also touch on the mysteries our our bodies and our universe.
